Apps is the big word again as web apps make the transition from being just webpages in your browser to being more integrated with your machine and workflow. Google earlier this year announced the Chrome Web Store at Google I/0, even demonstrating a very early TweetDeck concept prototype too. The idea is simple, your browser now has the ability to install web applications that you start from your home screen. These apps have local storage, more integrated API's like notifications and drag and drop. These apps can contain code locally on your machine
